Beat together:
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
Add to shortening and sugar and beat until foamy:
3 eggs
Add and then beat:
3/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
Add and then beat:
1 t. vanilla
3 or 4 mashed bananas
Pour into greased and lightly floured pan at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Frost with your favorite cream cheese icing.
I use a jelly roll pan so that the cake isn't so thick and it get's nice and done.
