Sour Cream Chocolate Cake - Jeff's specialty


Mix all ingredients one at a time on low for about 30 seconds between each ingredient, then mix on high for three minutes:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
3/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
4 oz. melted chocolate
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 round pan; 40 minutes for oblong pans.

Icing:
Blend:
1/3 c. butter
3 oz. melted chocolate
Beat in 3 c. powdered sugar.  
Stir in 1/2 c. sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla
