1 cup butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Cream butter, vanilla, and lemon extract until soft. Add sugar slowly until fluffy. Add egg yolks 1 at a time. Beat well. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. (Mixture will be dry). Form balls and roll in sugar. Press balls down slightly.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. (Slightly golden).
